Finally, an ADHD Test That Goes Beyond Guesswork: QbCheck

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I’ve spent years helping clients navigate the challenges of living with ADHD—whether it's the constant mental noise, the struggle to focus, or the frustration of being misunderstood. One of the most common concerns I hear is: “How do I know if I really have ADHD?”

It’s a valid question. Until recently, most ADHD evaluations relied heavily on checklists, interviews, and behavioral observations. While these tools are useful, they’re also subjective. People may overreport or underreport symptoms. Clinicians interpret behaviors differently. And sometimes, symptoms overlap with anxiety, trauma, or depression.

That’s why I’m excited to offer QbCheck, an FDA-cleared, computer-based ADHD test that brings objective data into the diagnostic process.

What Is QbCheck?

QbCheck is a 20-minute, evidence-based assessment you can take on a computer—either in my office or from the comfort of your home. It measures three core symptoms of ADHD:

  • Inattention

  • Impulsivity

  • Hyperactivity

Using a simple task and a standard webcam, QbCheck captures how you respond, how quickly, and how consistently—while also tracking your movements. It then compares your results to a large group of same-age, same-sex individuals without ADHD.

You’ll receive a clear, visual report that shows how your performance aligns—or differs—from what’s typical.

Why This Matters

We all have moments when we feel distracted, impulsive, or restless. But ADHD isn’t just about having a hard day or a full inbox. It’s a neurological difference that shows up in predictable patterns—and QbCheck helps make those patterns visible.

Adding this tool to our assessment process offers:

  • Increased clarity when symptoms are complex or confusing

  • Stronger clinical decisions for diagnosis and treatment planning

  • Better conversations with family members, schools, or other healthcare providers

  • A way to track progress over time if you're already in treatment

What to Expect

  1. We’ll schedule your QbCheck—either in my office or remotely using your computer and webcam.

  2. You’ll complete a short test—pressing the spacebar for certain shapes and ignoring others.

  3. You’ll also complete a DSM-5-based ADHD symptom questionnaire, which adds context to the objective data.

  4. Within a few days, we’ll review your results together, helping you understand your attention profile and what steps to take next.

Who Is QbCheck For?

QbCheck is designed for children (age 6+), teens, and adults. It’s especially helpful if:

  • You're exploring an ADHD diagnosis for the first time

  • You’ve received conflicting opinions or want a second look

  • You’re starting, adjusting, or monitoring ADHD treatment

  • You want more confidence before trying medication

Let’s Take the Guesswork Out of ADHD

Whether you're a parent concerned about your child, a college student struggling to concentrate, or an adult trying to manage work and family with a racing brain—getting the right diagnosis is the first step toward real support.

QbCheck helps us get there with greater confidence and less confusion.

If you’d like to learn more or schedule an ADHD consultation, I’m here to help. Reach out today—and let’s talk about what clarity could look like for you.
